Loop pedals

Playing guitar is one of my frustration and sadly, I only play a little and I can’t seem to finish a whole song much to my dismay.   Unlike my other buddies who can play the guitar effortlessly.   I had a cousin who impressed me so much with his musical ingenuity to think he doesn’t have any formal musical training and yet he plays with different instruments very well.   On one of her jamming session with his band mates, I saw them using loop pedals during their guitar practice which they record to check on how their practice is progressing.

It really takes passion for music and the interest and dedication to experiment to improve one’s craft.

Sandstorm

Pictures posted by my OFW parents based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia @ 4:14 pm today 25 February 2012.   This is the mysterious sandstorm that swept into the heart of the city of in late afternoon wherein  the sky was blanketed with a heavy downpour of thick dust that suddenly came from nowhere, then after which followed a heavy rainfall.   Dad picked up Mom from work and they have to pull over because of zero visibility.

Mom wrote that she had to re- do her laundry which she left out to dry the whole day but now got soiled.

Laminate floor

My cousin insisted on getting rid of the carpet in the living room when they were planning to have a complete house make over.   She wanted to have it replaced with modern and sophisticated laminate floor coverings that she have seen in a glossy magazine.  Their house received guests almost every week, now that her husband has been elected as town mayor.  Carpet cleaning after their guests had all gone home is always a problem.  Spills, dirt and soils could not be avoided eventhough, carpet shampooing and cleaning is readily available and can do the trick  but she said she had enough and wanted to have wood floors instead for easy maintenance.  Her mind is now focused  looking for laminate flooring selection on line and I won’t be surprised that she will order it soon.

Well, cousin is now their town’s busy First Lady!

A close encounter with Paris Hilton….

Sister came home last night bragging about Paris Hilton?   Paris the heiress?   She  must be joking but my sister appeared serious but I am not convinced at all, telling her to stop “pulling my leg” , period!   Evidently irritated and to appease me, she pulled out from her backpack, a neatly package of Paris Hilton purse.   Whoah… so it was just a wallet but she is proud at last to own an expensive brand  of wallet which she bought out of her savings.

I hope I can buy her a Paris Hilton bag as her birthday gift.  It’s time to start saving for it…

Log beds

When we went on a beach trip the other week, we took special consideration in choosing the best accommodation from among the line of resort inns offering their best services.  However, our grandmom particularly chose the cabin by the lake that was shown to us because she adored the log beds , rustic furniture and decors.  Apparently, it reminded her of the old farm house she used to lived in during her growing up years.

Lingerie body stockings

Whew!  I was almost dead tired after coming from a bridal shower that lasted till the wee hours but it was an enjoyable night with the girls.   As we  gathered round in circle, we keenly watched Jinky excitedly opened one by one those pretty, pretty and unique presents.   We were all giggly over some naughty ones which she had received and how she really blushed when a neatly wrapped box revealed awesome lingerie bodystockings which a girl friend sent for her.  It was a riot with all the teasing and instructions on how she is going to use it on their honeymoon.

And Jinky gave us a naughty wink and  promised us girls that she will give us feed back on how the bodystockings  will do wonders on their special night.   Hmmmm…..
