When I tell people about my blog, they always ask me what my blog’s name means. Explaining it over and over again would be a pain, I’m sure, so here’s a little primer to save time.

Amor Arte is spanish for “Love Art”, as in “I love art”. It’s something that I came up with after being asked to pick a name for a domain name.

Why in Spanish. you ask? Well, its English counterparts are already taken, unfortunately, so I had to resort to a foreign language. I personally like it. It sounds very mysterious, sexy and romantic. Kinda like those Spanish soap operas back in the day.

Obviously, I chose such a name because I indeed love art. But not the hoity-toity kind of art, mind you. I’m more interested in modern styles such as pixel art, or forms in the guise of comics and independent video games. I also love technologies and gadgets, as long as it’s something new and creative.

You would also notice that there’s a letter P. That just stands for my first name’s initial: P for Pol. Hence, P Amor Arte is short for Pol Amor Arte. And by translating it into a language we are all familiar with we get “Pol Loves Art”.

There! This is the reason why I don’t want to explain it to people.
