Progene

Summer is the time to show off those curvaceous bodies and six pack abs.   Sometimes, we shy away from crowd who do nothing but parade before us just to flaunt their beautiful bodies.   Well, at the beach, they are a sight to behold but somehow we can’t help but feel inferior with men who were able to maintain a well built, trim and  tight muscled bodies.

I was just sidelined by a basketball injury last year and since then I was not able to practice and frequent the gym.   Unlike my other gym mates who religiously attended their work out.   My gym buddy Lyndon tried the talked about testosterone boosting supplement  progene wishing to keep up with the other boys who seemingly had built muscles faster than he is.  Some say, taking such have negative effects but for Lyndon, it give him the perks and boost he can’t explain.

He called last night encouraging me to come back and be his best gym buddy for life.   I know, he will endorse that progene supplement.   I’ll see..

“Barking like a dog”

In between my typing,  I am “barking like a dog”!  This persistent cough started yesterday and I was coughing the whole night.  I concocted a home remedy solution- lemon squeezed in warm water and honey which mom taught us.   Gurgling warm water with salt only gave temporary relief and my throat is still itchy and very sore.   I have to go to the clinic for prescriptions because I can’t stand it this way.   I should prevent the onset of fever and worst cough because my classes will get affected if I will fail to attend them.   It would take a toll on my schedule if I will make up for missed classes.

I have taken paracetamols but my headache won’t go away…. Oh dear..I hate this feeling.

Woof … woof.. woof…or Arf..arf..arf…  Whatever.. there goes my cough again!

Weight loss pills

Losing weight doesn’t come easy and one really have to work hard to achieve it.  It is a known fact that millions of people are struggling to keep off unwanted pounds thus abound health clubs,exercise videos, yoga,   fad and crash diets and even interventional procedures.  Far too many people I knew are are into weight loss pills. Not surprising though when one of my aunt is into it.  She is  uncomfortably chubby but cannot be considered obese.

Whining and complaining for not losing  weight fast is  already music to our ears for we’ve heard it from aunt Therese countless of times.   She is already considered one who is  into yo-yo weight loss syndrome but she won’t give up believing in the saying  ”different strokes for different folks”.

Now, she showed up bragging that she is 3 kgs. lighter.  Oh well, we will see how tough her fighting spirit is, I am baking her most fave blueberry cheesecake.

Eavesdropping….

Excitedly, I woke up early morning yesterday because I’ve decided to bounce back to my regular work out.  For quite sometime, I’ve been out of circulation in the fitness world, while my gym buddies regularly pump iron and lift weights.  Certainly, they were very much ahead of me now and are already in advance level.   For a couple of weeks that I was sidetracked due to my erratic schedules and school projects… going back to my program was such a struggle and I felt somewhat uncomfortable around gym buddies who are heavily built and with well defined muscles and six pack abdomen.  Actually my target is to only develop muscles and be fit so that I won’t feel sluggish all the time.  From afar, I admiringly watched a friend lifting heavy weights with such ease and he was too proud discussing with his friend about p6 extreme . I wonder what is that supplement or drug  he was talking about? I can’t really focus on what I was doing because I was trying so hard to eavesdrop to confirm the secret behind his well formed body and hoping against hope that I will be able to sustain my enthusiasm and interest to carry on with my work out.

My next workout session, I happened to be in the company of be-muscled middle aged men who were boasting their increased sexual vigor and it seemed each one of them have testimonies to share with the group.  I had wished that my Dad should have been there instead of me because their discussion were getting a bit pollutant to my innocent (?) mind.

Browsing the web enlightened my mind about the product.   Hmmm…
