Tumbling composter

When I came to visit my grand mom, I was sad to see her sick and weak to mobilize after being hospitalized for 3 days.  I was told she has gallstones and is under medication.   Surprisingly,  it was only last summer that she joined us for an out of town trip  and she was full of life and very excited while visiting  the Orchids Garden.   There was not even a single trace of her impending  illness.  What do you expect?   She was  overwhelmed with the green surrounding and she was all over the place!

Being a green thumbed herself,  gardening is one of her fave hobby.  And the garden tour energized her no end.  Understandably, she was very much in awe with every plants she sees as she hopped from one green house to the other.  I came looking for her when I’ve  lost sight of her and seemingly got lost among the tall flowering plants.  She is 78 years old and mom told me to be responsible in assisting her and  I almost over reacted when I thought of her getting lost.

Anyway, after getting a bit worried, there,  I’ve found her conversing with gardeners busily cultivating the rich and fertile soils in the area.   She was like a small inquisitive child asking about the tumbling composter parked just under a big tree , and her “instant friends” told her that they are using it to do their own compost.   The abundance of organic fertilizers really improved their soil that yielded healthy plants.  It seemed my grandmom was interested so she asked me to browse the web for composter.  Have I not lead her away for lunch, for sure she will be asking too many questions about gardening.

I promised to take her to a visit to another garden so hopefully she is well by then.

Angry bird Ipad 2 cover

Yesterday, I ran errands and went downtown to look for a memory card reader.  I was so amazed how big the mall is and with wide array of wares to choose from.  Shopping is fun if we have money to spend!

I was engrossed in an accessories shop when I spent quite sometime after I saw Angry bird Ipad 2 protective case.  Actually only few specialized shops have available products because it is still on its introductory phase  but no doubt in the weeks to come, Angry bird products will flood the market with the growing popularity of Angry bird game…

So, I took the opportunity to be ahead of my friends of having a case to protect my precious Ipad from bumps and dents of everyday use.  And knowing that not long after ,cheap imitations will be making brisk business.

Angry birds makes me happy not angry!

Mom deserves the best….

Mom is a very special person in my life… that is why she deserves nothing less!  I stashed away part of my weekly allowance purposely to buy her gifts this coming Mother’s day.   Knowing her fondness for flowers especially red roses, I wanted to try something different this year.   I will let Dad buy her red roses which he regularly does while I, will go for pink flowers.  Pink symbolizes youth and gentleness which I believe best describes my Mom.    Youth because she is forever young and sweet.  I wanted her to be surrounded with the color of beauty.   Undeniably she is beautiful from within!

For my best choice of flowers, I’ve done with early on line shopping before it run out of stock.  I was advised that  pastel pink color of flowers are most favored and very popular all throughout.

But what’s this that I’ve heard from my sister?  Dad too is ordering on line and the same flowers of my choice?  Oh well, what can I say… I think Dad got tired of red roses and wanted to give my sweet mom what she deserves… However, I can’t compete with Dad because he will surely give not only flowers but  jewelries too.  Sigh!
