send starbucks gift baskets online

My coffee addict err coffee lover dad will be in for a big surprise from me this coming Father’s Day.  I know that he is not expecting to receive something different and interesting this year for I have not send him any expensive gift ever.  His expectation of me is not much because he understand that I depend solely on my monthly allowance.  No pressures!  Dad used to give receive cards drawn and crafted by me and with that alone, I can see the joy in his eyes everytime he read it.  He made it a point to make me feel that he appreciates even how humble my gift are.  I know he is not faking that smile !

Out of my meager savings, this year, I bet Dad will surely be jumping with joy (exaggerated me!), when I send starbucks gift baskets online for him and I know he will love me even more for this.

Well, knowing him, surely he will get even by sending me a new ipod  gadget  in return when my birthday comes.   Love begets love.. gifts begets gifts….  I love the thought!

Mayan hammocks

Vacationing in the beautiful Camiguin island in the southern province of the Philippines is one for the the books!  We got lost in the beauty of the island which boast of clean white sandy beach, picturesque ocean view and swaying palm trees.  Each one of us have our own favorite spot in the island and we’ve been leisurely lounging on weaved rattan and mayan hammocks on days that we just wanted to read a good book or sleep.   A worthwhile vacation package for my family!

Check our great finds.

Rustic furniture

Three of my super hyperactive nephews were sheepishly giggling near grandmom who was sleeping with mouth open and obvioulsy was deep in her sleep on her favorite chair.   The unbearable heat no doubt make one sick’ tired, lazy and irritable and my grandma is not spared.   She is understandably grumpy because she feels uncomfortable with the hot summer temperature enough to send her sitting all day on a  rustic furniture she loved very much in her favorite nook in the house.  She would always tell us. her grandchildren that that the wooden chair is cooler compared to the leather sofa in the living room which makes her sweat more.

Of course, they have airconditioning unit but rarely use it knowing how oldies are very energy saving conscious.  She shuts off lights and appliances when not in use.   And sometimes, it makes my mom freak out because grandmom is really hard to change.  She sees to it that only 1 florescent light is lit up in the whole house to save on electricity.  Such a spendthrift lady!  No A/C even if it is uncomfortably hot,  because she never worry much for she has her fave rustic chair given by mom last Christmas.  Since then on, she makes it a point to request mom to buy only those cedar and pine furniture and her room looks more like a  log cabin now.

Mom would always remind us to be gentle and understanding of her whims and caprices because she only have few remaining years in her life and she deserves to enjoy the comforts of life before it is too late.

Amen to that!

Lingerie body stockings

Whew!  I was almost dead tired after coming from a bridal shower that lasted till the wee hours but it was an enjoyable night with the girls.   As we  gathered round in circle, we keenly watched Jinky excitedly opened one by one those pretty, pretty and unique presents.   We were all giggly over some naughty ones which she had received and how she really blushed when a neatly wrapped box revealed awesome lingerie bodystockings which a girl friend sent for her.  It was a riot with all the teasing and instructions on how she is going to use it on their honeymoon.

And Jinky gave us a naughty wink and  promised us girls that she will give us feed back on how the bodystockings  will do wonders on their special night.   Hmmmm…..

Pinoy Biggest loser

Followers of  Pinoy (Filipino) Biggest loser reality TV show winners got inspired with the Top 5 winners announced during the Grand finals night held in Ynares Stadium, Antipolo City.  It was 16 weeks journey for strong willed and hopeful 12 Biggest Loser contestants, joined the reality show that centered on losing the highest percentage of bod weight and accomplished that goal by going through challenges and temptations hoping to transform their lives, health and weight under direct supervision of professional trainers.   You will be amazed on how 12 overweight contestants successfully lost weight the natural way.   And their determination and self discipline inspired millions of people.   I bet, a lot  were inspired to enroll in gyms and to start the work out program that they had been contemplating before but are too lazy to do it.   Seeing the winners  surely had awakened the spirit and enthusiasm of most and I for one, who got so busy with my studies made excuses for not attending the gym and sadly my regular working stayed on the back seat.   I decided now to get moving  and hopefully my renewed interest will sustain the high feeling I have  right now.

Wish me luck!

Multiple birth

I was tagged!   This is really a heartwarming pic of a family with sextuplets.  This multiple birth in one pregnancy is really amazing!  In search from Wikipedia, I had an interesting find to post as:

Terms used for the order of multiple births in human beings are largely derived from the Latin names for numbers. Two offspring (twins) is the most common form, eight (octuplets) is the largest number ever successfully carried to full term with all children surviving.

  • Two offspring – twins
  • Three offspring – triplets
  • Four offspring – quadruplets
  • Five offspring – quintuplets
  • Six offspring – sextuplets
  • Seven offspring – septuplets
  • Eight offspring – octuplets
  • Nine offspring – nonuplets
  • Ten offspring – decaplets
  • Eleven offspring – undecaplets
  • Twelve offspring – duodecaplets
  • Thirteen offspring – tridecaplets
  • Fourteen offspring – quadecaplets
  • Fifteen offspring – quindecaplets
  • Sixteen offspring – sexdecuplets
  • Seventeen offspring – sepdecuplets
  • Eighteen offspring – octdecuplets
  • Nineteen offspring – nondecuplets
  • Twenty offspring – icosuplets

This is what we call “miracles of life”
