Sleepy morning

I can’t say that it’s really a good morning because I have to catch more zzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s today. A snoring buddy who stayed with us for the night happened to snore as if there is no tomorrow. And because I am a shallow sleeper, I was awake throughout the night. I’ve tried earplugs but still I can hear that disturbing sound. I know I snore too and now I wonder how others think of my snoring just like what I had experienced last night.

My mom told me that she sleeps ahead of my dad so before he started that chainsaw sound, she is already deep in sleep. But why this snoring problem of my friend be my problem? The best thing for me to do is not to invite him to sleep over and problem solved. Or if he wants to sleep in my unit, he should stay in the next room because both he and I deserved a restful night.

I’ve heard that snoring is one common marital problem and since I am also a snorer, I think I need to fix it before it gets worse. How about you, are you a snorer too? Have snoring been a relationship problem? Good that I am still single and no wife who will be awake throughout the night.

Coffee experience…

Don’t expect that you will be served hot coffee in the household of my Aunt because coffee in there is not for drinking because it is used for art- coffee art. My cousin who is Fine Arts graduate major in Advertising make beautiful paintings, photography and lately he is dabbling in coffee art. His skillful hands and creative mind would produce fantastic face and figures in just minutes of strokes using coffee. This is a unique talent- painting using only coffee and water. My cousin said that he is still trying to perfect coffee art since he is new to this medium and day by day he is surprised to find out that outcome of the art depends on what coffee is used- say instant coffee, latte and espresso. I am very much amazed on his latest venture aside from his watercolor and oil paintings that we are truly mighty proud of.

He is gifted with talent just like his Dad who is an oil painter. Their house is already converted into an art gallery and you will find lots of interesting art pieces in there from antique coins to magazines, LP records to .. oh well…close to being a junk shop….

Art is in the roots and veins of our family

When my uncle won a prestigious award in an oil painting competition it was indeed an affirmation that art runs in our blood! He is not schooled whatsover in any art school so his talent in oil painting is innate. We take pride in having a great lineage! And it is not surprising that almost all of us are geared towards the art. If I may boast a little, my 2 siblings are Multi Media arts students, a cousin is into Film making class and another cousin already finished Fine Arts course major in Advertising arts.

As I traced my family tree… almost all of our relatives (known and unknown to me) are in the field of arts while others are in the medical field. It would be great to have a reunion of artists…surely it is one family event to look forward to! My uncle can pretty much head our family when it comes to painting and photography as well.

Just to let you see his painting gallery (and some paintings too!) He get inspiration in the stillness and calmness of the place. No wonder his paintings always stand out from the rest and aside from the prestige, he handsomely receives monetary prizes from his winnings.
