I never mentioned it here in my blog, but aside from the usual blockbuster films, I also enjoy watching documentaries.

Really, I do. My love for documentaries has stemmed from my frequent viewing of shows from Discovery Channel and National Geographic. I didn’t notice it at first but I actually enjoy learning new stuff. Stuff that you won’t get if you don’t strive to learn.

My favorite topics would be technology, how things work, how they’re made, and the future of technology. I also gobble up conspiracy theories, like those documentaries regarding 9/11 like “The Power of Nightmares”, about UFOs and the government conspiracies that hide them “UFOs Exposed”.

Lately, I’ve been exposed to stuff like Pyschology and Sociology, and its effect on Society and history. One notable documentary would be “The Century of the Self”.

The reason I started this post is because I’ve recently watched “The King of Kong”. It’s a documentary about gaming and the competitiveness of its field. A must watch even if you’re not a gamer. This documentary made me want to look for more and maybe share it here on my blog for all those who share the same enthusiasm as me.
