If you’re a frequent reader here on my blog, you’ll know that I am a big gaming nut. And it is because of this aspect of my life that I have lost my ability to see clearly.
I’ve been a gamer since I was a kid. 10 years old to be exact when I held my first controller and looked wide-eyed at the CRT TV as it displayed the 8-bit goodness that is the Super Mario Bros. I’ve been playing non-stop ever since. Imagine how long ago that was from today! Hours upon hours of gaming took their jab on my eyesight reducing my eyeballs to something that resembles Mike Tyson’s beat up face in Punch Out!
I started getting blurry visions in high school. But that didn’t stop little old me from playing, no sir. Eventually, headaches started coming in and has been increasing in frequency with each passing month. Not being able to see what I was playing was my worst nightmare so I eventually had my parents buy me a pair of glasses. It gave me the appearance of a nerd, but I didn’t care as long as I could play all I want.
But glasses are only a remedy, as I have painfully learned myself, and not a cure. Push your eyes to the limit even more and your eyes will continue to get more blurry making your current glasses unusable. And when you reach that stage, which is exactly where I am now, you’ll think twice before going on another gaming marathon for 25 hours straight.
Wondering how much Lasik surgery costs ~ Pol
The name's Pol and I'm a guy who really loves to talk and rant. In this blog, I mostly talk about technology, gadgets and the internet, but there are times when I also dabble in other stuff like art, movies, comics, and video games.

Haha. If you don’t want to change glasses everytime your eyes become blurry why not settle for eyeglasses with adaptive lenses?
@Jems, Hi jems. Thank you for leaving a comment. Adaptive lenses? Oooo… what is that?
