My younger sister was in tears when her computer crashed in the middle of finalizing her presentation for her school defense the next day.  I can see how she spent sleepless nights adding some finishing touches to her work and all of a sudden all those files will go to waste.  Who would not broke down and be sorry for forgetting to rely on  data backup before she sinked deep into her projects.

I was already snoring and  into dreamland when a wailing sister (yes.. my sister!) snapped me out of my sleep.  I thought something horrible happened … I believe so… horrible because when I woke up, my sister was crying and in a state of panic.  Her almost finished presentation was gone with the wind when her system crashed.

don’t let this happen to you…

Well,  that time, I controlled my temper knowing that there’s no use to scold her for her negligence.. of failing to install back up software so that her data are secured.   Instead, like a dear brother that I am, I helped her with painstakingly starting  her project from scratch using my computer and we will deal with her system soon after.

I promised myself  that she will receive the scolding after her presentation…. and I will drill into her mind about data back up.
