So I’ve recently watched the movie Scott Pilgrim Versus the World, the movie played from start until the end and I can say that it was a pretty okay movie. Okay, but not great.
Scott Pilgrim is a movie that was targeted towards my kind: Gamers. Specifically, those who came from the 8-bit era. It was crammed full of video game references to the brim that it was hard for someone like me not to like it. There were 1-ups, coins when enemy dies, and point numbers everywhere. It was like bringing antique hardware reproductions of video games to the big screen.

Effects were also superb. Actions were very fast paced and seamless. There were lots of cool lights and 3d stuff.
The really downer for me though was the story. The Ramona and Scott Pilgrim tandem wasn’t really believable. Their love story sort of stuck out like a sore thumb as it slowed down the pace whenever the movie starts to get fast. I dunno, it kinda felt really unbalanced.
So, yeah. Like I said. Good movie. But not great.
The name's Pol and I'm a guy who really loves to talk and rant. In this blog, I mostly talk about technology, gadgets and the internet, but there are times when I also dabble in other stuff like art, movies, comics, and video games.
