Watching Sherlock Holmes gave me the urge to watch the Detective Conan series once again.

It’s an anime featuring an adolescent boy who solved crimes during his free time. He was so smart that even the police sought help from him. But one day, being the nosy detective that he is, he stumbled upon something that he wasn’t meant to find. He was later caught and drugged using an experimental drug that supposedly, would kill the victim and would not show any traces in the autopsy of the cause. Since the drug was experimental, it turned our protagonist’s body to that of a young preschool boy.

He then sought to find out the people who changed him and get the antidote, while at the same time solving some crimes along the way.

I know it sounds crazy but it’s a really great show, especially the crimes and how they are committed. The series started in 1996 and is still airing even up until today. It has garnered over 400+ episodes and I’m surprised that they don’t run out of material!

So yeah, if you’re a mystery nut. I suggest giving Detective Conan a go. Sure it’s an anime, but get past that and you’re in for a treat!
