I’ve always loved the idea of time travel especially when I was a kid. This was further engraved with my love for the Back to the Future movies.
Who wouldn’t be fascinated with the idea of going to the past and changing a previous action to change the preceding events, or going to the future to see what technological marvels man has come up with?
Unfortunately, it would take quite awhile for such a thing to become a reality. No, I don’t think it is impossible. It would just be difficult and would take some time.
I recently chanced up upon a comic that claims that time travel is impossible because of displacement, which you can see below:

The argument that the comic is trying to point out is that if, for example, you go back in time, you wouldn’t be on the same place as you were. This is because as time passes, the earth moves along with it. It spins in its axis and orbits around the sun. So when you time traveled, the earth moved, spinned and orbitted. Displacing you from your original location.
Now the argument makes sense. If time travel were actually made possible, one must think of a way to change position after travelling.
But I won’t say that time travel would now be impossible because of this, no sir. Because by this time, I’m sure that teleportation would be made possible which has stemmed from the progress of time travel.
If for, some reason, mankind didn’t figure out a way to solve this. It wouldn’t stop them from still using it right? Maybe time travel with only calculated displacement positions (if you travel, make sure that you wont end up inside a wall), or jump to a time when the earth is at the exact same position in the past and future.
I mean, who could resist such a toy, right?
Excited about the future ~ Pol
The name's Pol and I'm a guy who really loves to talk and rant. In this blog, I mostly talk about technology, gadgets and the internet, but there are times when I also dabble in other stuff like art, movies, comics, and video games.

This was an argument thrown at me by one of my friends when I mentioned my vision of the future having Time Travel and I gave him the same answer as yours. Nothing is impossible with a little imagination.
So just go to the same date a year later and be sure the damn machine is on the ground.
