My friend, Ty, has been struggling to quit smoking for over a few days now. And I must say, the ordeal seems to be taking its toll on him. He’s more edgy than usual, like an addict out of meds. And for that I commend him.
Out of our group, Ty is the only one who smokes. Sure, some of us have tried it before but our addiction to the stuff can be likened to just a fling. He is a chain smoker. In fact, he’s more extreme than that. He is a chain-chain smoker. It was only until a week ago when he finally snapped back to his senses and told us that he wants to stop.
He didn’t tell us what the reason was but he sure seemed firm about his decision. And as his friend, the group supported him all the way.
Today is day seven of his abstinence from smoking. And it is at this time that it is the most crucial. As they say that the first week is the hardest.
We wanted to help out. We checked out the internet on what to do. We came across articles and even books from Allen Carr. But in the end we learned that it all boils down to Ty. All we can do as friends is support him and watch from afar. If Ty manages to survive today, the following days would be easier.
Keep it up. Only 18 more hours to go. ~ Pol

The name's Pol and I'm a guy who really loves to talk and rant. In this blog, I mostly talk about technology, gadgets and the internet, but there are times when I also dabble in other stuff like art, movies, comics, and video games.
